For those people who wish to practise a slower learning of English. English for adults is a series of courses designed for students over fourteen. The student learns basing on exercises, sentences and visual support and exercises. These characteristics help the user to learn grammar in a natural and context way.

Level I - Course I In this first level the student will learn the fundamental tools for communicating in English, taking the learner from 0 to a Basic Level of English. Whilst introducing the correct use of the indefinite article, subject pronouns and basic syntax including the verb To Be and the alphabet, the block covers functions including: greetings and introductions, nationalities, through meaningful, contextual exercises. As well as introducing the essential structures and vocabulary necessary to talk about the topic areas mentioned, the learner is encouraged to practice pronunciation from the very beginning. With the help of a native speaker, the vocabulary items and sentences modeled can be listened to and simulated. By the end of the Basic Block, the learner will have encountered the necessary structures to communicate using past, present and future tenses on a limited level in situations of immediate relevance, be able to communicate needs and desires as well as make observations and appropriate responses to typical comments. As well as introducing the essential structures and vocabulary necessary to talk about the topic areas mentioned, the learner is encouraged to practice pronunciation from the very beginning. Meeting new people III Aims: To review and consolidate the grammar, vocabulary and structures covered in the lessons through a series of interactive exercises. He or she then evaluates the user and informs the student via internal e-mail with voice, clearing up any specific doubts, giving tips for improvement on pronunciation, etc. The Alphabet - Additional exercises In the last lesson of this unit, the student will find different types of exercises that are designed to consolidate and evaluate the grammar knowledge obtained in the previous lessons. Typical Situation - Duty free, Boarding a plane, Boarding gate A practical immersion in which the student experiences a real situation with conversations among other characters. New vocabulary is introduced in this lesson, once the exercise is finished, the student practices with said vocabulary. Dialogue The student listens to a series of questions that he/she must freely answer and send the responses to the teacher. New vocabulary is introduced in this lesson, once the exercise is finished, the student practices with said vocabulary. Level II - Course II In this block the learner will consolidate the material from the previous Block and begin the transition from the Basic Level. The course content remains functional and focused entirely on improving learner independence in all areas. In this block the learner is introduced to the Past Simple of the verb To Be, regular verbs and some common irregular verbs, extended comparative practice as well as the Present Continuous forms of many common verbs, the difference between the present simple and continuous, the going to form and various expressions. Level III - Course II In this block the learner will consolidate the material from the previous Block as well as consilidate the transition from a Basic Level to a solid Intermediate Level. The course content remains functional and focused entirely on improving learners', independence in all areas, especially in situations such as travel and accommodation, expressing oneself and responding to questions. In this block the learner will practice the narrative tenses (Past simple, Past continuous and Present perfect) and begin to practice re-telling personal experiences and stories from journeys or past events. As with the other blocks on the course, there is frequent pronunciation practice and the learner has exposure to long and short sounds, correct regular past tense endings as well as general vocabulary and sentence level practice. In this block the learner will consolidate the material from the previous Blocks.The course content remains functional and focused entirely on improving learner independence in all areas, motivating the learner to become conversant on subjects such as the news, politics, ecology, education and employment. In terms of grammatical structures there will be continued revision and extension of the structures in all tenses. Productive and receptive skills are stretched with more phrasal verbs, idiomatic expressions, the differences between British and American vocabulary, expressing hopes and desires, asking indirect questions and making deductions about the past. As with the other blocks on the course, there is frequent pronunciation practice and the learner has exposure to long and short sounds, correct regular past tense endings, vowel sounds, elision, homophones as well as general vocabulary and sentence level practice. Level V - Course III.In this final Block the learner will revise the work covered to date through the lexical fields of describing people and places, superstitions, horoscopes tourism and describing paintings and art and arrive at being an Independent User by acquiring the Expert level, thus, being absolutely prepared to pass satisfactorily the TOEFL. Starting with Conditional phrases, time clauses and a review of the Passive voice the learner will encounter exercises to practice reported speech, prepositional clauses, synonyms and antonyms as well as Relative clauses. By now the learner will be able to converse on a wide range of subjects areas from detailed descriptions to abstract concepts. In terms of pronunciation, the learner will continue to model native speakers at a natural speed and be aware of contractions, intonation, elision, homophones, homographs and diphthongs.
